SCHUBERT, MOZART, TABAKOVA
Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 and Symphony No. 29, and Schubert's Overture in the Italian Style are early masterpieces of the two geniuses, composed when Mozart was not yet 20, and Schubert was just short of 21 years. However, their youthful voices do not lack creative maturity and confidence! But celebrated British violinist Thomas Gould's artistic vitality is attested by his ability to move freely from classical music to jazz, while also venturing into contemporary without hesitation. His performance with Sinfonietta Rīga will continue the collaboration initiated a few years ago. Along with the classical works, this programme also includes contemporary music - a sincere poetic dedication to Schubert by gifted Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova, currently residing in London.
