Vineta Sareika and Lauma Skride. Evening of Sonatas

Two charming, talented Latvians, who are already well-known in the world of academic music, meet in Berlin where their performance brings pleasure to the demanding public of Berlin Philharmonic. Piano keys are flashing under the delicate fingers of Lauma Skride performing together with the orchestra and the chamber ensemble.

Whereas the Guadagnini violin made in 1793, played by Vineta Sareika, boldly leads the three male players of Artemis String Quartet in ever new chamber music events. In the artistically saturated and stylistically multiform chamber music programme in Riga, through teamwork of violin and the piano, the chivalry of Ludwig van Beethoven, enthusiasm of Richard Strauss and passionate nature of Alfred Schnittke will be revealed, but the lines and points of intersection of Ruta Paidere will be presented to the audience for the first time.
